Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has admitted to being paid to attack music star Davido and his family online, and has issued a public apology to the singer.

Speaking on Peks Ikeji TV, Uche revealed that he and four other influencers were hired to troll Davido, stressing that the award-winning artist had never wronged him personally.

“I want to apologize to Davido... I was paid to ridicule you, your wife, your family on social media. I collected ₦2.5 million. I am sorry,” Uche said, admitting that his conscience compelled him to speak out about his “wrong and unnecessary” actions.

The confession has generated mixed reactions online, with some praising Uche for owning up to his actions, while others expressed surprise at the disclosure.
