The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has warned motorists, religious organizations, and event organizers against blocking roads and parking indiscriminately during crossover night services across the state.
In a statement on Sunday, LASTMA spokesperson Adebayo Taofiq said the warning, issued by the agency’s General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki, was prompted by the expected increase in traffic during the crossover period.
Taofiq stressed that while the agency supports residents’ right to practice their religion, such activities should not disrupt the convenience of other road users. He also urged motorists to respect the rights of others to move freely and safely on Lagos roads.
