Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, has shared a personal testimony of faith, revealing that divine intervention helped him overcome conspiracies and challenges on his path to national leadership.
Speaking at a worship service at Conquerors Global Assembly in Abuja, the former Chief of Defence Staff said God’s guidance during a difficult period was pivotal to his rise.
“We give God the glory for what has happened this year. Even when the enemy thought they were putting us down, they did not know God was going to lift us up. In their small minds they conspired and thought they had won. But as long as you have God as your pillar, you will win,” Musa said.
He urged Christians to remain steadfast, explaining that challenges are essential for growth. “If you are never challenged, you can never improve in life. As Nigerians, we know we are strong, but we are stronger together with God Almighty. Nigerians are winners. We must continue to pray for our leaders and our country,” he added.
Musa also emphasized God’s unwavering support for those who serve Him: “Because we serve a living God, He will never give up on us.”
His remarks followed his nomination by President Bola Tinubu on December 2 as Minister of Defence, a position for which his name was sent to the Senate for confirmation. He replaces Mohammed Badaru, who stepped down due to health reasons.
