The Lagos State Police Command has summoned the Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Chris Okafor, to appear at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, following allegations involving multiple rape, other sexual offences, and actions capable of disrupting public peace.

Police authorities said Pastor Okafor is expected to report to the SCID at exactly 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026. The invitation was formally conveyed to him through his legal representative.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Olohundare Jimoh, directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the SCID to conduct a detailed and impartial investigation into the allegations. The command stated that full cooperation is expected from Pastor Okafor as investigations continue.

CP Jimoh assured that all alleged victims would be granted adequate security and protection throughout the process. He also called on members of the public who may have had similar experiences, or who possess credible information relevant to the case, to come forward without fear, stressing that their identities would be strictly protected.

The Lagos State Police Command reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order, safeguarding public safety, and ensuring that investigations are carried out fairly. The commissioner emphasized that the law applies equally to everyone, regardless of status or position, and that justice will take its course.
