Nigerian comedian Sabinus has spoken candidly about a heartbreak that still stings, revealing how a past relationship ended despite his lavish gestures.

During a livestream session with Sandra Benede, the skit maker reflected on love, describing it as harsh and unforgiving. He said the recent breakup between Peller and Jarvis reminded him of his own experience, which left him deeply disappointed.

According to Sabinus, he once went as far as buying a Range Rover for a woman he loved, only for her to walk away from the relationship afterward. He admitted the decision later filled him with regret and said the experience made him understand Peller’s pain.

He said: “Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is cruel. I once gifted a girl Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it. So nobody should blame Peller.”

Sabinus also appealed to Nigerians to be more compassionate toward Peller, insisting that people should not judge him without understanding what he might be going through.

The comedian’s remarks have also reignited conversations about his personal life, particularly his marriage to Ciana Chapman, which reportedly ended a little over a year after their private wedding ceremony in 2023.
