Suspected bandits have reportedly carried out a deadly attack on the National Park Service office in Oloka, located in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The assault was said to have occurred around 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Unconfirmed reports indicate that no fewer than five National Park Service personnel were killed during the incident.
The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed that the attack took place, noting that the assailants are yet to be identified.
He disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, along with other security chiefs, was on the way to the area. He also said tactical units, Mobile Police Force operatives, and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team have been deployed to the location to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
