EFCC is trending because they’ve dismissed ADC statement, accusing them of being a department of APC used to hunt opposition leaders.

On Monday, EFCC invited Aminu Tambuwal over ‘suspicious’ withdrawal and diversion of ₦186bn out of ₦567bn from federal purse for six years, when he was Speaker.

He allegedly withdrew from 3 accounts; the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), the Government House Account and the Secretary to the State Government Account from 2015 to 2021.

— So he was detained and grilled overnight, after arriving EFCC on Monday around 11:30am.

Following this, the coalition ADC, accused EFCC of being a political hit squad to intimidate and poach opposition.

Because within the past week, several senior members of the opposition have received summons from the EFCC, not for new evidences on old cases, but new files registered since the coalition went public.

ADC suggested, the EFCC is acting like a department of APC. Fighting opposition and any own who criticizes the government.

Later today, after one night in detention, EFCC released Aminu Tambuwal.

In reaction to ADC, EFCC released a lengthy statement reiterating they are not partisan. But Nigerians thought the statement was poorly written as it reeked partisan.

Accordingly, Nigerians are asking them to prove they are non partisan, by going after Godswill Akpabio, Umar Ganduje, Yahaya Bello, Nyesom Wike and the rest under APC.
