Court Announces Date For Ruling In Yahaya Bello Trial
The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed March 9, 2026, to rule on the admissibility of documents the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seeks to tender in the alleged money laundering trial of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
The decision followed arguments by both the prosecution and defence over whether the documents meet legal requirements for admission as evidence.
The EFCC is relying on the materials to support its case.
The court adjourned proceedings after hearing submissions, with the trial set to continue after the ruling on the contested documents.
