FG Drags Mike Ozekhome To Court, See Why
A criminal case has been opened against Chief Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, as the Federal Government moves against him over alleged wrongdoing linked to an overseas property and travel documents.
The charges were filed by the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which accused the senior lawyer of fraud and forgery connected to a property located in London and the alleged use of a false Nigerian passport.
The case was brought before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, where formal proceedings have now begun under a newly registered charge number.
The matter surfaced after federal authorities concluded preliminary reviews of documents tied to the London property and travel records, prompting prosecutors to take the case to court.
With the trial now underway, the court is expected to hear evidence from both sides as the government seeks to prove its claims, while the outcome could carry serious legal consequences for the respected legal figure.
