First Lady Defends Tinubu’s Coastal Road Project
The First Lady of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu, has spoken about the rising cost of air travel and the reason behind the ongoing coastal road project being driven by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
She made the remarks while addressing public concerns about transport costs and infrastructure choices in the country.
She said Everywhere in the world, even in America, flights are expensive. This is the reason President Tinubu is doing the Coaster Road.
The comment was presented as part of her explanation for why road projects are being prioritised alongside air travel challenges.
The statement comes as the federal government continues major infrastructure works, including road networks aimed at improving movement across cities and coastal areas.
The project is expected to support transport options and ease pressure on air travel demand.
Her remarks add to ongoing discussions about transport costs and national development plans, with the government maintaining that investment in road infrastructure will improve access and reduce travel strain for citizens across the country.
