I Have No Regrets Over My Actions As Minister – Malami
Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has said he has no regrets over his actions while serving in government.
Speaking after his release from custody, Malami insisted he stands by his decisions as minister, despite facing ongoing legal battles.
The former minister, alongside members of his family, is currently facing multiple charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, including allegations of money laundering, which they have denied.
He was previously remanded in Kuje prison and later rearrested by the Department of State Services shortly after an earlier release.
A Federal High Court in Abuja granted him bail in February, which he has since met, regaining his freedom.
Malami also alleged that his rights were violated during investigations, claiming that security agencies carried out searches on his properties without notifying him or allowing him to be present.
Despite the situation, he said he remains determined to defend himself in court, describing his experience in custody as part of a larger ordeal he believes will pass.
