INEC To Conduct Mock Poll Before 2027
The Independent National Electoral Commission says it will stage a mock presidential election ahead of the 2027 general poll.
The exercise is aimed at testing its systems and logistics before the main election.
INEC said the mock poll will help it assess the performance of voting technology, result transmission process and the preparedness of its personnel.
Officials explained that the simulation will also expose possible gaps that need to be fixed early to avoid problems during the actual presidential election.
The commission maintained that the rehearsal is part of its broader plan to ensure a smooth and credible 2027 poll across the country.
Details on the date and locations for the mock exercise are expected to be announced in due course.
