Kano Approves Early Salary Payment
The Kano State Government has ordered the immediate payment of March 2026 salaries to civil servants ahead of the Eid el Fitr celebration.
The Acting Head of Service, Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, announced the directive in a statement released on Saturday by the Director of Public Enlightenment in the Office of the Head of Service, Rukayya Sulaiman.
According to the statement, the governor approved the early payment to help workers prepare properly for the upcoming Sallah celebration.
The government said the move reflects its commitment to the welfare of civil servants and recognition of their contributions to the development of the state.
Maimota urged workers to make good use of the gesture and continue to show discipline, dedication and efficiency in their duties.
The state government also reiterated its commitment to policies that improve workers’ welfare and strengthen productivity in the civil service.
