King Charles Surprises Tinubu In Yoruba
King Charles III welcomed Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his delegation in Yoruba during a state banquet at St George’s Hall Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
The British monarch greeted guests with “Ẹ káàbọ̀, şé dáadáa ni,” meaning “Welcome, how are you doing?”, drawing attention from the audience at the royal event.
Tinubu, who attended the banquet with his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, responded warmly, laughing and acknowledging the unexpected gesture.
The Nigerian president is in the United Kingdom for a two-day state visit, accompanied by top officials.
The moment stood out as the king briefly stepped away from formal protocol, creating a light and memorable interaction with the Nigerian delegation.
