Kwankwaso’s Son Resigns As Kano State Youth And Sports Commissioner

Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, son of former NNPP presidential candidate Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has resigned from his role as Kano State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.

He announced his decision on Monday via a statement on his official Facebook page, formally stepping down from the State Executive Council. In the message, he expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the opportunity to serve.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my resignation as Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, and member of the Kano State Executive Council,” Kwankwaso stated.

He thanked the governor for placing confidence in him and reflected on the experiences and lessons he gained while serving the people of Kano State.

“I am sincerely grateful to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for giving me the opportunity to serve our great people. My time in office has been a period of immense learning, and I appreciate the trust reposed in me,” he said.

Kwankwaso also voiced hope that the youth and sports sectors would continue to thrive under the current administration, emphasizing the need for ongoing support and investment in these areas.

“As I resign, I pray that Kano State’s youth continue to receive the attention and opportunities they deserve. I hope our sports development initiatives will grow and prosper in the years ahead,” he added.

He concluded by offering prayers for the state and its leadership: “May Allah (SWT) continue to bless our beloved Kano State. I wish the government and people all the best.”

His resignation comes amid political realignments in Kano State following Governor Yusuf’s recent departure from the NNPP.
