Lagos Shaped National Success – Shettima
Vice President Kashim Shettima has said Lagos State has played a central role in producing many of Nigeria’s most successful figures.
He made the remark while speaking on the place of Lagos in national development. His comments focused on the city’s wide influence across business, politics and culture.
He described Lagos as a meeting point for Nigerians from all parts of the country.
Shettima noted that Lagos remains one of the most active economic centres in Africa. He pointed out that people from different states move there in search of opportunities.
Over time, the city has become a hub where careers are built and ambitions are shaped. Many leading personalities in Nigeria today, he said, have strong links to the state.
He also said Lagos belongs to all Nigerians because of its diversity and openness. According to him, the city continues to attract talent and drive national growth.
He added that the environment in Lagos pushes people to work harder and achieve more. This, he said, explains why many top figures trace their success back to the state.
The Vice President maintained that Lagos will continue to play a major role in shaping future leaders. He linked its influence to Nigeria’s broader story of development and unity.
He said the state’s unique position makes it a shared home for citizens across the country.
