Manchester City have completed the signing of English defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, with the player committing to a five-and-a-half-year contract running until the summer of 2031, the club confirmed on its official website.
The 25-year-old is City’s second signing of the winter transfer window, following winger Antoine Semenyo, as the club looks to strengthen its squad with experienced and high-quality players.
Guehi has become one of the Premier League’s most reliable defenders, featuring in 188 matches for Crystal Palace across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists, demonstrating his consistency and versatility.
On the international stage, Guehi has earned 26 caps for England, cementing his role as a key figure in the Three Lions’ defence with his tactical awareness and solid performances.
Manchester City did not disclose the transfer fee, but reports suggest the deal is worth an initial £20 million, aimed at shoring up the defence amid recent injury challenges.
