NAPTIP Rescues Over 100 Victims In Plateau
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons rescued 184 victims of human trafficking in Plateau State, including three pregnant women.
The operation led to the discovery of dozens of people who had been held in difficult conditions.
Officials said the victims were found during a coordinated enforcement action aimed at dismantling trafficking networks in the area.
Many of those rescued were believed to have been lured with false promises before being exploited.
Authorities moved the victims to safe locations where they are receiving medical care, counselling and other support.
Investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest those behind the operation.
The agency said it remains committed to tracking down traffickers and protecting vulnerable people, while urging the public to report suspicious activities linked to human trafficking.
