New Attack In Plateau Leaves Eight Dead
Gunmen have attacked Mbwelle in Plateau State, killing at least eight people in a night raid, according to local reports.
The incident happened in Bokkos, where residents said the attackers invaded the community and opened fire on villagers.
Most of the victims were reportedly from the same family.
Security sources and community members said the attack occurred late in the night, leaving the area in panic as residents fled for safety.
The motive behind the assault was not immediately clear.
The latest violence adds to ongoing insecurity concerns in parts of Plateau State, where rural communities have faced repeated attacks in recent years.
