Speaking while parading 61 of the 100 suspects at the Amotekun headquarters in Akure, Adeleye revealed that 50 were detained for public disorder, six for kidnapping, two for violating anti-open grazing laws, and three for gender-based offenses, including rape.

He said, “We are grateful for the support from all security agencies—the police, civil defence, army, DSS, vigilantes—and the public.”

Adeleye gave specifics of the arrests, including 34-year-old Mustafa and 45-year-old Philip, caught for kidnapping in Ofosun Odigbo. In Isua Akoko, 18-year-old Idris, 20-year-old Ibrahim Abdullahi, and 23-year-old Lawal Idris were arrested.

For rape and assaults on Amotekun officers, suspects included 19-year-old Daniel Ojo, 33-year-old Usman, and 41-year-old Bejide in Isinkan. Those arrested for armed robbery included 30-year-old Ola Tunbosun, Ibrahim, and Shahidu across Akure North, Oba Akoko, and Oba Ile.
