Ondo Keke Ambulance Sparks Reactions
An improvised ambulance built from a tricycle in Ondo State has set social media abuzz after photos of the vehicle surfaced online.
The modified keke, fitted with a stretcher space and emergency markings, was reportedly introduced to help move patients in areas with poor road access.
Residents said the idea was created to reach communities where conventional ambulances struggle to operate.
While some Nigerians praised the initiative as creative and practical, others questioned the state of emergency services and why such measures were necessary in the first place.
The debate quickly spread across X and other platforms.
The development has once again drawn attention to healthcare infrastructure challenges in parts of the country, with many calling for improved funding and better-equipped medical response systems.
