Police Finally Admits To Abductions In Kaduna
The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed that residents were abducted from Kurmin Wali, a remote community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, ending days of uncertainty over what truly happened in the area.
The confirmation came on Tuesday after security agencies completed fresh checks and intelligence reviews. The Force said the incident caused fear among locals and families, making it necessary to handle the situation carefully before issuing a final position.
The case drew attention after earlier public comments created confusion, with some community figures disputing the reports during a security meeting at the Government House in Kaduna.
Police authorities later explained that the initial caution was meant to avoid panic while facts were being verified on the ground.
After further field reports and intelligence findings, the police said the abduction did take place.
This led to the activation of joint security operations involving tactical units, patrol teams and rescue squads across Kajuru and nearby communities.
The Inspector General of Police has now ordered a full security deployment to the area, as efforts continue to locate the victims and prevent further attacks. Residents have been urged to rely on official updates while operations continue in the troubled southern Kaduna axis.
