President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday undertook a one-day working visit to Imo State, arriving at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, at 12:52 p.m.

The visit highlighted federal–state collaboration and featured the commissioning of major projects completed by Governor Hope Uzodinma. These included the 60-kilometre dual carriage Owerri–Mbaise–Umuahia Federal Road, the Assumpta Flyover, and the 6,000-capacity Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre.

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the visit demonstrated how joint efforts between the federal and state governments can drive infrastructure renewal and stimulate economic growth.

The President also attended the launch of Governor Uzodinma’s book, A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria, which documents the APC’s governance achievements in infrastructure, education, and public services over the past ten years.

Other facilities commissioned included the Imo Concorde Hilton Hotel and the Imo Digital Learning Centre, both of which reflect the administration’s emphasis on modernisation and innovation.

Tinubu’s engagement in Imo State reinforced his administration’s commitment to sustainable development and its goal of leaving a legacy of progress replicable nationwide.
