The Senate on Tuesday approved the confirmation of Kayode Are from Ogun State, Aminu Dalhatu from Jigawa State, and Ayodele Oke from Oyo State as ambassadorial designates.
Their confirmation came after the Senate considered and adopted the report of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, chaired by Senator Sani Bello (APC, Niger North).
While addressing the chamber, the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, advised the newly confirmed nominees to represent Nigeria with integrity and dedication in their respective postings.
President Bola Tinubu had earlier forwarded their names to the Senate for confirmation in a letter read during plenary by Senate President Akpabio about two weeks ago.
The three nominees were submitted ahead of a broader list of 32 other ambassadorial nominees previously announced by the President.
