Human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has accused FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of being a murderer and criminal in a fiery response to Wike’s recent remarks about him.
Sowore made the comments on Thursday in a post shared on his verified X account, following Wike’s criticism of him for labeling President Bola Tinubu a criminal.
Wike had earlier warned that Sowore was “lucky” to have a tolerant president like Tinubu, suggesting that such comments could have led to severe consequences under a different leader.
In his reply, Sowore alleged that Wike engaged in corruption, land grabbing, and killings while serving as Rivers State governor, insisting that he should be prosecuted at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“I heard that the FCT’s drunkard, murderer, land grabber, and thief, Minister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, said Bola Ahmed Tinubu should have assassinated me for calling him #TinubuisAcriminal,” Sowore wrote.
“If Nigerians weren’t so docile, complacent, and cowardly, criminals, thieves, and murderers like Wike would never hold leadership positions in this country. SAD! Wike stole land in Abuja, Wike robbed the people of Rivers State, and Wike massacred Igbos at Obigbo.”
He concluded that Wike should be standing trial at The Hague.
