Tinubu Approves Major Redeployment
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the renewal of tenure for three permanent secretaries in the Federal Civil Service, allowing them to continue in office for another four-year term.
The officials affected are Beatrice Jedy-Agba, Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Justice; Kachallom Shangti Daju of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare; and Mary Ada Ogbe of the Ministry of Regional Development.
The renewed appointments will take effect from April 27, 2026, marking their second and final term under public service rules.
The approval follows provisions of the Public Service Rule that allow permanent secretaries to serve an initial four-year term and qualify for another if their performance meets expectations.
Didi Esther Walson-Jack congratulated the officials and urged them to continue delivering strong service in their roles.
Alongside the tenure renewals, the presidency also approved the redeployment of several permanent secretaries across key ministries.
The changes affect offices including the ministries of Aviation, Steel Development, Finance, Environment, and Information, with the reshuffle expected to take immediate effect as ministries complete their handover processes.
