Tinubu Mourns Army General In Borno Attack
Bola Tinubu has reacted to the killing of Brigadier-General O.O. Braimoh and other soldiers in a deadly insurgent attack in Borno State, describing the incident as painful but urging troops to remain focused on ongoing operations.
In his statement, Tinubu praised the fallen soldiers as heroes and said the military has continued to record gains against insurgents.
He described the attack as a “desperate” response from weakened terrorist groups facing pressure from security forces.
He extended condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Borno State, while encouraging the military to maintain morale and continue its operations.
He also assured that the government would provide more support and equipment for troops on the frontlines.
The killing of Brigadier-General Braimoh during the attack has raised concern within security circles, with reports suggesting possible equipment failure during the incident.
Military authorities have not publicly confirmed those claims.
