Tinubu Would Worsen Nigeria If Reelected – Ex Aide
A former Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Bola Tinubu, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has criticised the country’s direction under Tinubu, warning that a second term could worsen conditions.
He described rising insecurity, poverty, and social desperation since Tinubu assumed office.
Baba-Ahmed made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television, arguing that relying on political alliances for reelection is “poor thinking” and could harm national progress further if Tinubu returns to power.
The warning comes as the president praised National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu for “a job well done” during an official visit to Adamawa State.
This came amid growing concerns over banditry and terrorism, which continue to disrupt communities across Nigeria.
Recent attacks in Niger State’s Borgu Local Government Area reportedly left several settlements devastated, forcing residents to flee.
Some communities faced prolonged assaults with no visible military intervention, highlighting the ongoing security challenges confronting the administration.
