The U.S. State Department has revoked the visas of at least six foreign nationals after social media posts surfaced that appeared to celebrate or justify the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The Department posted on X. “The United States ‘has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death upon Americans.'”
Screenshots shared by the Department showed flagged posts from accounts in South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Germany and Argentina — accounts the agency said are “no longer welcome in the United States.”
Selected posts the Department highlighted include: “Kirk devoted his entire life spreading racist, xenophobic, misogynistic rhetoric” and “deserves to burn in hell.” (Argentine national) “He died being a racist, he died being a misogynist…there are people who deserve to die.” (Mexican national) “Charlie Kirk was the reason for a Nazi rally…DIED TOO LATE.” (Brazilian national) “When fascists die, democrats don’t complain.” (German national) “Charlie Kirk was a son of a b** and he died by his own rules.” (Paraguayan national)
The Department added, “#POTUS and #SecRubio will defend our borders, our culture, and our citizens by enforcing our immigration laws. Aliens who take advantage of America’s hospitality while celebrating the assassination of our citizens will be removed.”
