UNIJOS Calls Off It’s Strike
The University of Jos has called off its strike and resumed academic activities after lecturers received their March 2026 salaries.
The decision brings an end to the disruption that affected students and academic schedules.
The strike was earlier declared by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities over unpaid salaries and allowances.
The delay had forced a shutdown of lectures and other academic work.
Following the payment, lecturers returned to classrooms, restoring normal activities across the institution.
Students have also resumed lectures after days of uncertainty.
The development is expected to stabilise the academic calendar, as authorities move to prevent further disruptions in the university system.
