FUTO Post UTME / How to apply for FUTO 2025/2026 Admission
FUTO has opened its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening for the 2025/2026 session. If you chose the school or are willing to switch, and meet the score and age requirements, now’s the time to apply. Full guide below.
The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has begun accepting applications for the 2025/2026 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening.
If you picked FUTO as your first choice and scored 150 or more, you’re good to go. Don’t panic if you didn’t choose them at first—JAMB change of course/how to change your JAMB course online. Just do it before applying.
The application runs from Wednesday, 23 July to Sunday, 31 August 2025. No extensions have been promised, so don’t wait till the last day.
Who Is Eligible?
- You must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2025
- Scored 150 or higher in UTME
- Have at least 5 credits in O’Level, including English and Maths, plus three related subjects. MBBS applicants must have all five in one sitting
Direct Entry?
You need one of these:
- OND, HND, A-Level, or First Degree in a related field
Also, make sure your transcriptreaches:

- Health: Public Health, Optometry, Prosthetics

- Architecture, Telecommunication, Electronics
200 and above
- College of Medicine (MBBS only)
What to Know Before You Apply
- Your JAMB subject combination must match what’s in the JAMB brochure
- Upload your O’Level results on JAMB CAPS by 24 August 2025
- Use a working phone number and email
- If anything you submit doesn’t match your JAMB record, you’ll be screened out
- You must finish the form online. No paper applications
Application Fee
Everyone pays ₦2,000.
How to Apply
- Visit FUTO’s website
- Click on Prospective Students, then go to Undergraduate
or go directly to the FUTO application portal
- Click Generate Invoice
- Enter your JAMB registration number
- You’ll get a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Pay at any bank or use your ATM card
- Return to the portal, click on Application Form
- Log in with your JAMB number
- Fill out your form and double-checkyour details
- Click Submit
- Print out your acknowledgement slip
- Wait for more instructions from FUTO
Final Tip
If you forget to upload your O’Level or your transcript, your application ends there. Also, if you miss the deadline, you’re out. So take your time, but don’t waste it.
