  Only 10 states out of the 36 states in Nigeria have produced presidents (Democratic and military )from 1960- date. Below are the list of States and their product.

  (1) Abia State {Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi}

  (2) Anambra State { Nnamdi Azikiwe

  (3) Plateau State { Yakubu Gowon}

  (4) Kano State { Murtala Mohammed, Sani Abacha}

  (5) Ogun State { Olusegun Obasanjo, Ernest Shonekan}

  (6) Sokoto State { Shehu Shagari}

  (7) Katsina State { Muhammadu Buhari, Musa Yaradua}

  (8) Niger State { Ibrahim Babangida, Abdulsalami Abubakar}

  (9)Bayelsa State { Goodluck Jonathan}

  (10) Lagos State { Bola Tinubu}

  Majority of the past leaders are from a particular region
