Abia Rolls Out Cashless Card For Green Shuttle
The Abia State Government has begun the full rollout of the Abia Connect Card, a cashless payment system for the Green Shuttle Bus Service.
The initiative is part of the state’s plan to modernise public transportation and improve service delivery for commuters.
With the new system, passengers will pay their fares electronically using the Abia Connect Card instead of cash.
Officials say the move is designed to make boarding faster, reduce fare disputes, and improve accountability in the transport system.
The government explained that the cashless model will also help track daily revenue and ensure transparency in the management of the Green Shuttle Bus Service.
Residents are expected to obtain and load the cards for use across designated routes as the rollout continues across the state.
