ADC Accuses Party On Interfering With INEC’s 2027 Plans
The African Democratic Congress has accused some influential figures within the All Progressives Congress of trying to interfere in its leadership structure ahead of the 2027 elections. The claim was made in Abuja on Monday.
The party’s spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, said there were ongoing moves to push Nafiu Gombe forward as national chairman, despite his past issues with the party. He stated that such actions could disrupt the party’s internal process.
According to the statement, Gombe had earlier been expelled from the ADC, making the reported push for his leadership position a source of concern.
The party insisted it would not accept any form of external pressure on its affairs.
The ADC warned that attempts to influence its leadership through outside forces could threaten its stability as preparations for the next general election begin.
