The Igbo Delegates Assembly has called for a concerted action over the incessant attacks on farmers in the South East region by killer herdsmen.

‎
‎The communique which was signed by its President general, Chief Kenneth Okeugo, the assembly expressed their displeasure against the incessant killings in the south east, staying that;
‎
‎”We frown on the incessant and heinous killings going on in Igboland and all other parts of Nigeria by killer gangs/herdsmen invading and sacking towns and villages and harmless citizens massacred in cold blood without adequate response from agencies saddled with the responsibilities”

‎
‎They further called on Igbo entrepreneurs to be deliberate in diversifying the location of their investments to Igbo land and to commence the industrialization of the region to create jobs for young persons and bring development to the area.
‎
‎ The assembly also expressed solidarity with OhanaezeNdigbo, affirming its full affiliation to the organization and commending its leadership under Senator John Azuta – Mbata.
