ADC Kano Lawmaker Danjuma Dies
A member of the House of Representatives, Hassan Muhammad Danjuma, who represented Dawakin Kudu and Warawa Federal Constituency in Kano State, has died.
The lawmaker passed away in the early hours of Saturday, according to information shared by an aide to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. His death comes as a shock within political circles.
Danjuma, elected in 2023, was serving his first term before his passing. He had contested under the New Nigeria People’s Party before later moving to the African Democratic Congress.
He remained politically aligned with Kwankwaso after his defection.
Days before his death, he attended a political meeting at Kwankwaso’s residence in Abuja.
The gathering focused on preparations for the party’s upcoming state congress.
He was also among lawmakers from Kano who chose not to join the All Progressives Congress alongside Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The cause of his death has not been made public, leaving many questions unanswered.
His passing adds to recent losses within Kano’s political space, following the deaths of two state lawmakers last year. Tributes have begun to come in from colleagues and constituents.
