A massive protest broke out on Saturday in Kano State as Islamic groups took to the streets to express anger over recent actions by United States President Donald Trump regarding Nigeria’s security situation.
The demonstrators marched in large numbers to oppose Trump’s claims of a Christian genocide in Nigeria, carrying placards with various inscriptions such as “We condemn Trump’s threat to attack Nigeria,” “There is no Christian genocide in Nigeria,” and “America wants to control our resources.”

Trump had recently designated Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” following allegations of persecution of Christians in the country.
He further warned that the United States military would intervene if the Nigerian government failed to stop the killings of Christians.
However, the Nigerian government has firmly rejected the genocide allegations, describing them as untrue and misleading.
