Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, George Moghalu, has lost his polling unit to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, in the ongoing Anambra governorship election.
Preliminary results from Polling Unit 017, Uruagu Ward 1, in Nnewi North Local Government Area, show Soludo emerging victorious over Moghalu.
Out of 463 registered voters, 86 were accredited for the November 8 election. Soludo recorded 57 votes, while Moghalu managed 22 votes. The remaining votes were shared among other political parties.
The outcome mirrors early voting patterns in the area as collation of results continues across Anambra State.
