APC Group Hails Kalu Influence
A group within the All Progressives Congress has praised Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu for strengthening the political voice of the South East in national affairs.
The APC stakeholders, operating under the Integrity Group, said Kalu’s leadership has helped increase the region’s visibility within the ruling party and the broader political space.
In a statement issued on Saturday by National Coordinator Ardo Zubariu and National Secretary Chinsom Nwakanma, the group also commended South East residents in the Federal Capital Territory for supporting APC candidates in the recent Area Council elections.
According to the group, Kalu played an active role during the campaign as Secretary of the APC Campaign Council and urged voters from the region in the FCT to back the party’s candidates.
They said the support from South East residents contributed to the APC winning five out of the six area councils contested in the election.
The group described Kalu as one of the leading voices for the South East in national politics, noting that his position as Deputy Speaker has increased the region’s political presence and influence.
