APC Rejects Viral Nomination Fees List
In Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress has rejected viral claims about the cost of nomination forms for the 2027 elections.
The party said the figures circulating online are false and not authorised.
The reports had claimed that presidential aspirants would pay N200 million, while governorship hopefuls would pay N150 million.
It also listed N100 million for senatorial candidates, N70 million for House of Representatives, and N20 million for state assembly.
The claims quickly gained attention and sparked debate about the rising cost of political participation. Many questioned how such fees could affect access to leadership positions.
However, the APC clarified that no official price list has been released for the 2027 elections.
The party urged the public to disregard the information and rely on verified updates from its leadership.
