During the event, Hammayo called on the new emir to support government initiatives and contribute to the state’s overall progress and development.

In his response, Emir Adamu Mohammed expressed gratitude to the governor for the honour and offered prayers for God’s blessings upon him.

He also pledged to remain committed and loyal to both the Bauchi State Government and the Bauchi Emirate Council.

In another development, the Secretary to the State Government also presented an appointment letter to Alhaji Jibrin D. Hassan, who was appointed as the new Emir of Bununu Emirate.

Hammayo urged the newly appointed traditional ruler to foster peace, unity, and respect for the law among all communities within his jurisdiction.

Emir Jibrin D. Hassan expressed appreciation to the governor and vowed not to disappoint either the government or the people.

It was previously reported that Governor Bala Mohammed had enacted a law creating 13 new emirates across Bauchi State.
