Bwala Denies Old Claims He Made On Tinubu
Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on policy communication, pushed back against past statements attributed to him during a tense appearance on the programme “Head to Head” on Al Jazeera.
The exchange happened while he was being interviewed by Mehdi Hasan in an episode reviewing the performance of the Tinubu administration.
During the discussion, the host presented old remarks and clips from the period when Bwala supported the campaign of Atiku Abubakar.
When confronted with a 2023 allegation claiming Tinubu had formed a militia to influence the election, Bwala rejected the claim and insisted he never made such a statement.
He also dismissed references to comments about suspicious cash movements to the president’s residence during the election period.
The presidential aide further denied past remarks suggesting that he had faced threats from Tinubu or his allies.
He explained that his earlier comments were made while he was part of the opposition, describing them as political rhetoric that no longer reflects his position as a member of the current administration.
