Dangote Increases Fuel Price Again
The Dangote Refinery has raised its petrol price again, pushing it to ₦1,275 per litre, marking the fifth increase in March.
The latest change came shortly after an earlier adjustment, showing how quickly prices are shifting in the market.
The new rate replaces previous pricing, with the refinery also increasing its coastal supply cost. Marketers and customers have been asked to ignore earlier price notices, as the updated figures take immediate effect across all transactions.
Within weeks, the price has climbed sharply from earlier levels in March, reflecting rising pressure from global oil markets and supply challenges.
The rapid changes point to ongoing instability in the downstream sector despite expectations of local refining easing costs.
The increase is likely to push up pump prices nationwide, affecting transport fares and the cost of goods.
Demand from other African countries and global supply disruptions are also adding pressure, keeping fuel prices on an upward path.
