EFCC Moves On Malami Properties
Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have marked properties in Abuja linked to Abubakar Malami for forfeiture.
The markings, reportedly tagged “Keep off,” signal the commission’s intention to take over the assets as part of ongoing investigations.
The properties are believed to be located in the Federal Capital Territory.
The development comes shortly after a visit to Malami’s residence by former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, although authorities have not indicated any connection between the visit and the action taken.
The EFCC is yet to release full details of the case, but such markings typically precede legal proceedings aimed at asset recovery.
