New Governor Set To Officially Join APC
Dauda Lawal is set to officially join the All Progressives Congress next week, according to the party’s leadership in Zamfara State.
The planned move follows his reported defection from the PDP.
State party officials said preparations have been completed for a formal reception in Gusau. The event is expected to be attended by Kashim Shettima and the APC national chairman.
Local party leaders have been directed to mobilise supporters across the state ahead of the ceremony. Meetings are already being held at different levels to brief members on the development.
Party officials also urged supporters to remain peaceful and united, stressing the need for calm as the state prepares for the high-profile political event.
