Nigeria’s Ezekiel Nathaniel claimed his maiden Diamond League victory after winning the men’s 400m hurdles at the Lausanne meet on Thursday.
Nathaniel stormed to the finish line in 48.08 seconds, surging ahead after the final hurdle to secure the top spot.
American Trevor Bassitt followed closely in 48.14 seconds, while Slovenia’s Ian Matic Gucek came third with 49.23 seconds.
The win marks a major milestone for Nathaniel, cementing his rise as one of athletics’ most promising talents.
