Victor Tobechukwu Okoli, popularly known as Vic Matt, a film director, executive producer, and manager to BBNaija Season 10 housemate Bright, has died days after being abducted in Enugu.
Reports indicate that Vic Matt was kidnapped last Friday near Ntachi Osa, a popular spot in Enugu State, and later shot dead by his captors.
The tragic news was confirmed by filmmaker Ben Cassie, who paid tribute to Vic Matt on Instagram, describing him as a man of integrity who stood out in an industry often marred by betrayal and backstabbing.
In her heartfelt message, Cassie wrote:
“It is hard for some of us to see those who genuinely wish us well. You always dropped words of encouragement even when I was most silent.
In an industry of snakes and scorpions, you stood different. All you wanted was to make good films. You were a cool, calm and intelligent one. To be kidnapped and killed is a very heart-wrenching way to leave this earth. For all the times you made me laugh and looked out for me, thank you 🙏
