Fintiri Swears In New Commissioners
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn in three new commissioners and a member of the State Electoral Commission, charging them to serve with integrity and accountability.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Council Chambers of the Government House in Adamawa State.
Those inaugurated as commissioners are Sali Idris, Engr. Muhammed Suleiman, and Chubado Mohammed, representing Maiha, Mubi North, and Jada local government areas respectively.
Also sworn in was Iliya Gaji as a member of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission.
Speaking at the event, the governor said the appointments were based on merit, integrity, and commitment to public service. He urged the appointees to bring fresh ideas, embrace innovation, and work together to drive inclusive governance and development in the state.
With local government elections approaching, Fintiri specifically tasked the electoral commission member to ensure credible and transparent polls.
The governor also announced the portfolios of the commissioners, assigning Idris to Livestock, Suleiman to Works, and Mohammed to Energy.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Chubado Mohammed thanked the governor for the opportunity and pledged their commitment to delivering on the administration’s goals.
