A fresh fire outbreak has hit Singer Market in Kano, destroying several shops in the Gidan Glass section of the busy trading hub.

The market is located along Ado Bayero Road by Murtala Muhammad Way.

Traders were thrown into panic as flames swept through parts of the area, burning goods and property before help arrived.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known at the time of filing this report.

Emergency responders were said to be working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other sections of the market.

Shop owners and residents gathered at the scene, watching as efforts continued.

Singer Market is one of Kano’s busiest commercial centres, and the latest incident has raised fresh concerns among traders over recurring fire outbreaks in the area.
