Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Kola Ologbondiyan, has formally resigned from the party, bringing an end to his long involvement in its leadership and political activities.

He confirmed his resignation in a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Okekoko Ward (Ward 09) in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State. The letter, dated 5 December 2025, was also shared on his X account on Saturday.
In the letter, he thanked the party’s leadership at all levels for the trust placed in him and the opportunities he was given over the years.
He wrote that, after reviewing his participation in the party, he decided it was time to step aside for personal reasons. He stated that he had concluded that he needed to withdraw his membership from the PDP.
He concluded by officially notifying the ward leadership of his departure and wishing the party well in its future endeavours.
Ologbondiyan, a former journalist, previously served as Director of Media and Publicity for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council during the 2019 elections. He was also an aide to former Senate President David Mark, who is now the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress.
